Perfectly Simple...
Hello, I’m Brad Taylor, founder of arlo.
arlo.® is a family brand shaped by the animals we're lucky enough to share our lives with. From day one, pets have been at the heart of everything we do, guiding how we think, how we make things, and how we care.
It began with my own pets and the everyday routines that come with them, and it continues to be driven by real animals, real homes, and real life. Dogs, cats, horses, and feathered friends all play their part in shaping what we create.
We believe pet care should be simple, effective, and kind. That is why we focus on quality, UK-made products designed to fit seamlessly into daily routines, whether that's at home, the yard, or in the stable.
The Taylor family is a bit of a domesticated menagerie. I have two dogs and seven rescue battery farm chickens. In the wider family, we also have four cats, multiple fish, more dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs and two horses. A right mix-up, eh!
And no, they don’t all live in the same home.
We’re animals through and through!
Why arlo, you ask?
Well… I mentioned that there are other dogs in the family. Arlo was another much-loved family doggie pal. A chocolate brown labradoodle with great big floppy ears and a brown nose, who somehow always found his way into everything.
Day to day, he did all the usual doggie stuff… but at weekends, Arlo worked as a therapy dog, visiting the elderly, children with special needs and people living with dementia. He had a calm, gentle way about him, and brought comfort and smiles to everyone he met – even the postman!
Sadly, Arlo is no longer with us. But the values he lived by absolutely are.
Friendly, natural, supportive, and straightforward – Arlo embodied everything we wanted this company to stand for. His legacy lives on in how we think, how we make things, and how we care for animals and the people who love them.
